Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Registered Nurse for a facility in Utica, New York. This role involves providing specialized cardiac surgical care in a high-acuity surgical environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Utica, New York
  • Job Title: Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Registered Nurse
  • Schedule: 4x10 variable shifts with shift hours of 10 per day and a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Certification and Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associate's degree; current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse; certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Required Qualifications: 1+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse, current licensure, certifications in ACLS and BLS, experience in operating room and open heart procedures, familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell technology, New York State residency or licensing compliance, and minimum one year of clinical experience
  • Certification and Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associate's degree; current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse; certifications in ACLS and BLS
  • Patient Population: Adult
  • Common Diagnoses Treated: Coronary artery disease (CAD), aortic stenosis (AS), mitral regurgitation (MR)
  • Technology Used: EPIC electronic health record system, Omnicell medication management system
  • Float: Float rotation may be required if census is low
  • On-Call Requirements: Up to 7 days per four-week schedule, including one full weekend
