Job Summary:
The position is for a Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) located in San Diego, California. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in the operating room with a focus on cardiovascular surgery, including open heart procedures, as well as other surgical cases such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, and robotics.
Job Details:
- Location: San Diego, California
- Specialty: Operating Room - Open Heart
- Schedule: Days shift with on-call responsibilities: 12 hours on Friday night overnight and 12 hours on Saturday (day or night depending on the need) per 4-week schedule, with a 30-minute response time.
- Required Qualifications: CA RN license; BLS (AHA); CPR certifications; at least three years recent RN experience working in the RN role; at least two years recent RN experience in a specialty area; strong cardiovascular surgery experience, including open heart; willingness to work other cases such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, and robotics.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with delegation, care coordination, nursing process, plan of care development, patient care documentation, patient education, adult-learning theory, socio-cultural analysis, patient advocacy, and interdisciplinary communication.
- Additional Information: Must attach the OR RN questionnaire to submission and profile.
