Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) nurse specializing in open heart procedures in Detroit, Michigan, provides leadership in coordinating and delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, they are responsible for providing, delegating, supervising, and documenting care and teaching patients and their families. Effective communication of pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team is essential. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

- Schedule: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; minimum of 40 hours per week
- On-Call: Yes, 48 hours of call per six-week schedule—must be available one weekend per month
- Additional Information: Duration of assignment is 13 weeks with the possibility of different shift options based on operational needs
