Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse in the specified location. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care for cardiac patients undergoing open heart procedures. The role requires collaboration within a dynamic surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Position Description: BILH coversheet required at time of submission. RNs must be able to circulate in at least three of the following areas: cardiac, vascular, endovascular, thoracic (robotic). Scrub experience is highly preferred.
  • Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. (primary), with rotation to 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., or five 8-hour shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with rotation to 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. One weekend of call per month, with Cardiac or Endovascular Call from Friday 7:00 p.m. to Monday 7:00 a.m. (30-minute response time). One 2 or 4-hour short call shift once a week at 5:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., 3:15 p.m. to 7:17 p.m., or 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Emergency CVI call from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. during weekends. Holidays are eligible for work.
  • Required Qualifications: License Registered Nurse required; 1-3 years related work experience required; American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate; ACLS required; must have at least one year OR Nursing experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise.
  • Travel Required: No.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Start Date: 09/28/2026.
  • End Date: 12/26/2026.
  • Additional Information: Start date is ASAP, with consideration for compliance, and orientation is held weekly every Monday, barring holidays. Candidates must provide available dates and times for interview at the time of submission. All RTO requests must be presented at the time of application. Travelers who have worked for the organization as perm or per diem within the last six months will not be accepted; must be separated from the facility for six months to be considered. Parking costs up to $43/day may apply.
