Job Summary:
The surgical services department in Thousand Oaks, California, is seeking a qualified Operating Room (First Assistant) to join the team. The position requires candidates to possess an active Registered Nurse (RN) license and RN First Assist (RNFA) certification, along with a minimum of 2 years of current experience specifically in first assist roles. The candidate must bring their license at the time of first day of assignment. The role involves working in a busy surgical unit with a focus on advanced procedures and robotic assistance.
Job Details:
- Location: Thousand Oaks, California
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:45am-5:15pm or Monday-Friday 6:45am-3:15pm, days shift, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, RNFA certification, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), at least 2 years of current experience in first assist roles, experience with DaVinci Robot, orthopedic spine, gynecology, neurology, and general surgery procedures, and familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in spine and neurosurgery instrument handling, CNOR certification, strong physician relationship skills.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to Los Robles Hospital main OR and Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital (TOSH).

- The position involves Overtime, which might include staying longer to finish cases.
