Job Summary:
A registered nurse position in the operating room located in Calais, Maine. This role involves providing safe, effective, and high-quality patient-family centered care during the perioperative period. The nurse must be able to scrub, circulate, and work in the recovery room as needed. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Calais, Maine
- Shift: Nights (Monday-Thursday)
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, shift hours are 10 hours each night
- Required Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maine; Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification is required for all full-time/part-time employees (may be obtained within 6 months of hire); at least 1 year of medical/surgical or perioperative experience; basic computer skills
- Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification
- Additional Information: Responsible for delivering safe, effective, and quality perioperative nursing care. Must communicate effectively with the perioperative team and support the organization’s mission and values. The position involves working in various operating room roles including scrubbing, circulating, and recovery.
