Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Travel Nurse position located in Athens, Texas. This role involves providing specialized surgical care across various procedures, including robotic surgeries, vascular, neuro, and orthopedic surgeries. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This position offers a schedule of 10-hour shifts, with a rotating day off, and minimal call requirements. The assignment begins on 07/13/2026.
Job Details:
- Location: Athens, Texas
- Shift Schedule: 06:30 AM – 05:30 PM Saturday and Sunday; 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM Monday; 10-hour shifts with a rotating day off.
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Texas or Compact license in hand at the time of submittal; 0 years of experience required; experience in Operating Room setting; experience using EPIC charting system; trauma level I experience preferred; travel experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of experience preferred; experience with robotic surgeries (e.g., Colorectal Robotic Surgery, Gynecologic robotic surgery, Orthopedic robotic surgery, Urologic robotic surgery, etc.) is a bonus.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Shifts are 10 hours with a rotating day off; minimal call (1-2 shifts every 6 weeks); staffing includes experience handling a variety of complex surgeries including vascular, neuro, orthopedic, and robotic procedures.

- Additional Information: State or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal. All RTO (Requests for Time Off) must be listed at the time of submittal. Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler. Onboarding involves completing core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing; onsite orientation modules are non-billable, typically taking 4-6 hours for RNs.
