Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) Nurse position is based in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within a busy surgical environment. Candidates must have an Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license, which must be in hand prior to an auto offer being extended. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience in the operating room setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Anchorage, Alaska
  • Schedule: 3x12-hour Days; shift start times may vary, either 06:45-19:15 or 09:00-21:30
  • Hours: Minimum of 36 hours per week; guaranteed hours are 60 hours per biweekly period
  • Required Qualifications: Current Alaska RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (preferred), CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification (preferred), at least 2 years of operating room experience, proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Records system, and at least 50 miles distance from the facility.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma, Laparoscopic assisted cases, and minimally invasive surgical procedures.
  • Additional Information: Must have a minimum of two references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years, including at least two charge or lead nurses if applicable. Clothing provided for scrubbing, and all RTO requests should be included in the submittal. Must be willing to work holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
  • Vaccinations: Hep B vaccine accepted; titers or declinations are not accepted.
  • Other Details: Candidates may need to float within the hospital as needed to meet operational needs. Pending licenses are accepted but must be in hand prior to offer.
