Job Summary
L&D Mother/Baby Couplet Care (Maternity Care Center) — Salem, Virginia. The organization is seeking a maternity care center staff member to support labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care, including OBED triage and inductions. This role also supports cesarean sections and related postpartum/newborn services. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights (12-hour shifts); minimum 36.0 hours per week. Includes 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, with days on Saturday/Sunday and nights on Friday/Saturday.
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN); OB experience; license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Cesarean section circulator experience, first assist, and scrub experience.
- Responsibilities: Provide labor and delivery care; assist with cesarean sections; deliver postpartum and newborn care; support OBED triage and inductions; collaborate with the care team to deliver patient-centered maternity services.
- Additional Information: The role supports maternity care center unit activities, including couplet care. Dress code includes facility-provided scrubs. No call requirement for travel staff; additional shifts may be available. Start date: 06/22/2026.
