Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Tele) Charge Nurse position is available in Windsor, Vermont. This role involves coordinating patient care, providing leadership within the nursing team, and floating to various units within a small community healthcare setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Vermont RN License or Compact license — must be uploaded with profile
    • Current or recent (within 1 year) Medical Surgical (Med Surg) and Telemetry skills checklist
    • At least 1 Supervisory-Signed Reference within the past two years of employment
    • Minimum of 2 years recent Med Surg Rehab experience required
    • Previous travel experience of at least 3 months required
    • Charge Nurse experience — non-negotiable
    • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
  • Additional Information:
    • Local travelers residing within 50 miles are not eligible
    • Candidate must have own vehicle — this is a firm requirement due to no public transport in the community
    • Non-billable 8-hour orientation
    • Call amount: 4 hours per shift, with call-back, holiday, and overtime multipliers at 1.25%
    • Call is required for this position; travelers must be willing to take call
    • Block scheduling will not be considered
    • 48-hour guarantee is not available
    • The facility enforces a 3-strike rule for call-offs; all must be communicated at least 1.5 hours in advance
    • Every other weekend and holidays may be required if needed
