Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse is based in Windsor, Vermont. This position involves coordinating patient care in a Med Surg unit with telemetry, providing leadership and participating in patient and family education. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The role requires recent experience in medical surgical units with telemetry and charge nurse responsibilities, with specific certifications and license documentation.

Job Details:

  • Location: Windsor, Vermont
  • Schedule: Nights, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Vermont RN (Registered Nurse) License or Compact License — must be uploaded with profile
    • 2 years recent Med Surg Rehab experience required
    • Previous travel experience of at least 3 months required
    • Charge Nurse experience required
    • Certifications: Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) — active and current within the past year
    • Skills Checklist for Medical Surgical pertinent to the position, current to 1 year
    • At least one supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years of employment
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
    • Experience in Cerner electronic medical record system preferred
  • Additional Information:
    • Candidate must have own vehicle as public transport is unavailable in this small community
    • Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
    • Requests after offer may lead to rescinded offer
    • Every other weekend and holidays are required if needed
