Job Summary: Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS TELE) – PCU RN | Concord, North Carolina
Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS TELE) Registered Nurse (PCU RN) opportunity in Concord, North Carolina, supporting progressive care unit (PCU) services with telemetry needs. The role involves providing patient care for common post-operative and high-acuity surgical cases while maintaining required clinical skills and documentation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift coverage; 12 shift hours; 36 hours per week minimum
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Registered Nursing (RN) licensure
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
    • Minimum of 18 months Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: None provided
  • Float: Float rotation may be required within the region and scope of practice, including potential floating to other facilities as needed
  • Additional Information:
    • Patient care responsibilities may include drain care, central line management, G/J tube management, Heparin infusion management, and cardiac infusion management (ACLS)
    • Responsibilities may include cardiac rhythm interpretation, nasogastric tube (NGT) placement/management, and management of various surgical drains
    • Support within the department includes CNA duties (as applicable), charge nurse support for patient care/med passes/admissions, and consult support via IV/VAT and a resource nurse on night shift
    • Telemetry monitoring/technology is used, with documentation via Epic
    • Orientation includes 2 days of departmental orientation
    • Weekend rotation is every other weekend, and travelers work 75% of holidays
    • RTO may be approved up to 6 days off, excluding holidays (additional time may be required at the end of the contract if contracted hours cannot be met)
    • Shift coverage includes 0645–1915 and 1845–0715 per unit scheduling
