Job Summary
Medical Surgical (Telemetry) Registered Nurse — Boston, Massachusetts. This role supports a medical-surgical float pool across multiple specialties and inpatient care needs, with rotating day/evening/night assignments. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts (8 and 12 hours), with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license (Massachusetts)
- CPR (American Heart Association)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (American Heart Association)
- Basic familiarity with computers and ability to navigate basic levels within web-based applications
- Epic experience required
- Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise preferred
- Level I trauma experience required

- Additional Information:
- Float pool assignment within a medical-surgical unit setting, supporting multiple specialty areas
- Weekends and holidays required
- No call required
- Respiratory care/ventilator management is handled by the Respiratory Therapy team; RN responsibilities include administering nebulizers
- Unit-specific procedures include 12-lead electrocardiograms, Lasix infusion therapy (Lasix gtt), blood transfusions, and telemetry monitoring
- Orientation is weekly (every Monday, barring a holiday)
- Interview availability dates and times must be provided at time of submission
- Time off may not exceed 4 days, and blocked scheduling requests or specific days off cannot be guaranteed from week to week
- Any color scrubs are permitted
- Public transportation is available
