Job Summary
Medical-Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Nurse (MS REHAB) — Windsor, VT. The healthcare provider in this role coordinates total nursing care for patients in a rehabilitation medical-surgical setting, supporting recovery from surgery, serious illness, or injury. The position includes patient and family teaching, participation in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice, and collaboration with the patient care team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights (12-hour shifts); minimum 36.0 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • New Hampshire Registered Nurse license or Compact (uploaded with profile)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association) — active
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (American Heart Association) — active
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — strongly preferred
    • Medical-Surgical (pertinent to position) skills checklist, current to 1 year
    • Supervisory signed reference (from within the past two years of employment)
    • Recent Med Surg Rehab experience: 2 years
    • Previous travel experience (at least 3 months)
    • Charge Registered Nurse experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Willingness to float between Acute Rehab and Medical Surgical as needed (within scope of practice)
  • Additional Information:
    • May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse
    • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4/5
    • Average daily patient census is 22
    • Orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable orientation
    • Every other weekend and holidays may be required if needed
    • Traveler candidates are required to have their own vehicle (small community without public transport)
