Job Summary: Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor (MS REHAB) Nurse — Windsor, Vermont. The position provides coordinated medical-surgical nursing care with a focus on intensive rehabilitation for patients recovering from surgery, serious illness, or injury, supporting restoration of function and independence. The role includes coordinating total nursing care, assisting with patient and family teaching, and providing clinical leadership to maintain professional nursing practice standards. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Medical Surgical (pertinent to position) skills checklist (current to 1 year); previous supervisory signed reference (from within the past two years of employment); BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing); active New Hampshire RN license or Compact; active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience (at least 3 months) and charge RN experience.
- Additional Information: May provide backup Charge Nurse support as needed; participates in patient and family teaching; provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting; may be asked to float between Acute Rehabilitation and Medical Surgical units as needed (within scope of practice); orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable orientation; every other weekend and holidays may be required if needed; start date is 08/03/2026.
