RN – Medical Surgical Rehabilitation (Acute Rehabilitation) | Ottumwa, IA
Registered Nurses (RNs) are needed for an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit serving primarily adult and geriatric patients. This role includes providing skilled nursing care in support of rehabilitation needs, with common diagnoses and treatments that may include neuro, trauma, and burn care, as well as gait training/strengthening and wound management. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days (7a-7p), 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); vaccinations/titers within the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB); Iowa (Single) background check clearance (criminal and child abuse portions required); drug test with a 10-panel screening including opiates; Mandatory Reporter certification (child and adult)
- Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience preferred (not required)
- Additional Information: Unit profile: inpatient rehab; patient ratio: 1 RN to 6; equipment: lift equipment; Electronic Health Record: Meditech; call requirements: none; weekend hours: every other; float may be required to MedSurg as needed; Monday or Tuesday start dates will be allowed; 36 or 48 hour guaranteed hours can be accommodated—candidates should indicate preference upon submission
