Job Summary:
The Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Santa Rosa, California, is dedicated to providing specialized care in an oncology outpatient clinic. The successful candidate will perform infusions, port draws, and patient monitoring within a fast-paced oncology environment. Candidates are required to bring their licensed credentials on the first day of assignment. Job Details:
- Schedule: Shift hours are from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, or 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, oncology certification through ONCC (Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation) or ONS (Oncology Nursing Society), at least one year of previous oncology or infusion outpatient experience, and Epic electronic medical record system experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with administration of chemotherapy, infusion pumps (Alaris and CADD ambulatory), and outpatient oncology nursing is preferred.
- Certifications: BLS and ONCC/ONS certification required.
- Additional Information: First-timers accepted; candidates must include all requested RTO (requested time off) during submission.
- Experience: No minimum experience requirement specified; focus is on providing outpatient oncology care, including chemotherapy administration, port management, and handling complications such as tumor lysis syndrome and sepsis.
- Travel and Location Notes: Locals are accepted; the role involves floating between facilities within the state.
- References: Two references covering one year (or six months for CNA) within the last three years are required prior to the start date.
