Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) — San Antonio, Texas. The organization is seeking an RN with oncology experience to provide care for patients requiring chemotherapy administration and related treatments on a rotating day/night schedule. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM); minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Texas RN license (temporary license not accepted); Basic Life Support (BLS); oncology/Med-Surg/Tele RN experience; at least 5+ years of experience; experience with mediprots/peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs)/central lines; ability to support chemotherapy administration and related nursing care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Chemotherapy certification; Meditech experience.
- Additional Information: Oncology unit responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) baths (including central lines and dressings), central line dressing changes, mediport access and lab draws, and blood product transfusion support.
