Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology in Peoria, Illinois, for a medical-surgical oncology unit. The position involves providing care to patients with various types of cancer, including lymphoma, leukemia, hematology, and radiation oncology. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Peoria, Illinois

- Shift: 12-hour night shifts starting at 0700 or 1900, with scheduling flexibility based on unit needs and a 6-week schedule.
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois (IL) registered nurse license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated, BLS (AHA) certification, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, at least 1 year of nursing experience in oncology, experience with IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy regimens, and the ability to monitor for medication side effects.
- Additional Information: The unit utilizes Epic Beacon for electronic medical records, and nurses may troubleshoot BiPAP and CPAP equipment as needed. The team works every other weekend and every other holiday. Float rotation may be required, with shifts lasting a minimum of four hours.
- Submission Requirements: Last four digits of clinician's SSN, requested time off, active IL license or confirmation of initiation of licensure process, and a negative drug screen for all panels.
