Job Summary:
This Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) position is located on the third-floor tower specializing in Oncology and Medical-Telemetry in Olympia, Washington. The role involves providing specialized care for adult oncology patients with a focus on safety and clinical excellence. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Olympia, WA
  • Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Start Date: 07/14/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN); 1 year of experience in a similar setting; Experience with Medical Telemetry patients and use of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Epic.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Oncology certification; Third-year Med Surg experience preferred.
  • Schedule: Other; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week, with 5 patients per shift during days, nights, and weekends.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must include all requested time off in submittal; 2 references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years are required for compliance; orientation includes 24 hours.
  • Unit Details: Adult Oncology Medical-Telemetry unit with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary.
  • Patient Care: Provides care for adult oncology patients, with a daily census of 26 patients in 26 beds.
  • Special Procedures/Equipment: Medical telemetry monitored by on-site Central Monitoring Unit (CMU); oncology-related procedures and care, including isolation precautions, oxygen therapy, peripheral line management, and rapid response protocols.
