- Position: Nurse Coordinator — Medical Surgical Oncology Floor — Needham, MA
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Must have at least 2+ years of oncology experience, with proficiency in making VNA/Hospice/DME referrals, coordinating referrals to specialists, setting up imaging and IR procedures, and obtaining authorization for oral chemotherapy drugs. Must possess phone triage skills, good communication, and organizational abilities.
- Schedule: Days shifts, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include guiding patients through their treatment, coordinating appointments, managing symptoms, and acting as the primary contact for patient inquiries before chemotherapy begins.
- Orientation sessions are held weekly.
- Candidates must have recent experience working closely with physicians and patients in an outpatient oncology setting, understanding symptom management, and demonstrating excellent computer and telephone triage skills.
- Applicants must be able to provide their availability for interviews upon submission.
- Travelers who have worked for the employer’s affiliated health system as perm or per diem within the last six months will not be accepted; candidates must be separated from the facility for at least six months to be considered.
