Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Vascular Access Team Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical IV Therapy (MS IV) specialty position in Burlington, Vermont. This role involves working on a 12-hour rotating day/night shift schedule, primarily during the day but requiring flexibility to rotate to nights as needed. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The assignment is expected to last 13-16 weeks, starting on June 29, 2026.

Job Details:

  • Location: Burlington, Vermont
  • Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, primarily days with flexibility for nights; every other weekend required; typically one week of nights followed by one week of days, with potential mid-week rotations; bi-weekly orientations on Mondays.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license; BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty; IV ultrasound guidance experience; AVA (American Vascular Access) certification; PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) skills; Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years; prior trauma level 1 experience in the last year.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience.
  • Additional Information:
    • No block schedules; work commitment from Monday to Sunday.
    • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
    • Complete work history (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) required for submission.
    • Public transportation is not accessible; reliable transportation, personal vehicle, or rental vehicle recommended, with all-season or snow tires during November-April.
    • Candidates must be able to assess PICC lines, manage dressing changes, administer TPA, and troubleshoot PIV, PICC lines, ports, and dressing changes.
    • The ability to place peripheral IVs, access ports, and perform related procedures is essential.
