Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) — Nights (Marquette, Michigan)
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the Observation Unit, caring for adult patients (18 years and older) who meet observation status criteria. Responsibilities include providing bedside nursing care, monitoring patients using cardiac telemetry/ECG systems, and supporting stroke-focused assessment requirements. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 5 Days/5 Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current RN licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); NIH Stroke Scale Competency (NIHSS); Telemetry/ECG Competency; adult patient care experience on a Medical Surgical floor (minimum 1 year med/surg experience as stated); candidates must bring their license on the first day

- Observation Unit nursing role with adult patient population
- Telemetry experience is emphasized for patient monitoring
- Optional certifications include Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (ENPC)
- Weekends/holidays are required (call requirements are not mandated)
- Float may be required to Medical/Cardiac/Neuro-Ortho units
- Orientation is bi-weekly, and BSN is preferred

- Dress code: scrubs (galaxy blue)
