Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Nephrology is sought for a position on a medical/surgical floor at a healthcare facility located in Farmington, New Mexico. The role involves providing care to geriatric and adult patient populations, with a focus on nephrology-related treatments such as end-stage renal disease (ESRD), peritoneal dialysis, and hemodialysis. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM
- Schedule: 12 hours shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid license; BLS (must be AHA); at least 1 year of clinical experience in a medical/surgical setting, preferred 2 years; ADN degree; experience with medical/surgical patient care; experience with equipment such as VS machines, bladder scanners, lifts, thermal imaging, and IV pumps/tubes; experience with Cerner electronic health record system.
- Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience and nephrology experience are preferred but not required.
- Additional Information: Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:6. The unit uses various equipment including VS machines, bladder scanners, lifts, thermal imaging devices, and IV pumps/tubes. Supervisor for the role is Derek Bluto RN.
