Job Summary
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) — Elko, Nevada. This role supports acute care services across a medical surgical, telemetry, and pediatric patient population, assisting with care coordination and clinical support in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to start 7–10 days from offer acceptance and are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week minimum.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Associate or bachelor’s in nursing; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); eligible to start 7–10 days from offer acceptance.
- Preferred Qualifications: Medical-surgical and telemetry experience.
- Responsibilities: Provide nursing care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients within acute care services; support the diagnosis and treatment of conditions including COPD, CHF, acute respiratory failure (adult & pediatric), and peri-procedural care such as pre/post cath lab and orthopedic or general surgery support; assist with care needs that may require floating to other departments based on patient census and departmental requirements.
- Additional Information: ACLS and PALS are required; there is a 60-day window to obtain ACLS and a 90-day window to obtain PALS after the start date. Fit testing is offered on-site to travelers.
