Job Summary
Medical Surgical (MS) Registered Nurse — Aiken, South Carolina. The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide inpatient nursing care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit during night shifts. The role focuses on delivering competent, capable, compassionate, and efficient care through initial and ongoing assessments, including admission assessments completed within required policy timeframes. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 3 x 12s nights; 12 hours per shift; minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in state/district (required)
    • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program (required)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (required)
    • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) — Must complete Crisis Prevention Institute’s NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course (required)
    • Certification/skills requirements as specified by the organization, including NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) (required)
    • Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience (required)
    • Inpatient nursing experience (minimum 2 years explicitly required)
    • Telemetry experience (minimum 6 months explicitly required)
    • Travel nurse experience (required)
    • Med Surg Telemetry experience (required)
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (highly desired)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Additional Information:
    • Completes admission assessment within the time frame established by facility policy and procedures
    • Performs initial and ongoing assessments on assigned patients, with documentation reflecting assessment findings and patient needs
    • Applies knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan to provide age-appropriate care
