Long Term Care (LTC) – Long Term Care (HILO, Hawaii)
A healthcare professional is needed to provide direct patient care in a long term care setting. Responsibilities include performing clinical assessments, providing treatments, administering medications, supporting activities of daily living, and coordinating with the medical team by notifying physicians/nurse practitioners of pertinent patient information. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week; varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Required Qualifications: Active Hawaii license; ability to begin the assignment with a Hawaii license in hand
- Additional Information:
- Long term care unit support, including assisting with admitting/discharging
- Gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, nebulized treatment support, wound vac care, CPAP care, and tracheostomy care
- Medication administration, documentation of patient care needs, and notification to MD/NP of pertinent information
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday; start date should not be accepted if the candidate cannot be there on time
- Flexibility required; no guarantee of hours or shift preference
