Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is needed for a seasonal travel assignment in Wichita, Kansas. The position involves working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week starting on June 30, 2026. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse; at least 1 year of recent acute care hospital Labor and Delivery (L&D) nursing experience; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM)-Certified or AWHONN; proficiency with Meditech Electronic Medical Record and CPN monitors
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with circulating C-sections and high-risk LDR (Labor and Delivery Room) experience
- Additional Information: This unit utilizes self-scheduling, which enhances staff satisfaction. The team is known for a collaborative, staff-centered approach and has strong leadership support. Many nurses have 20-40 years of experience, and the unit has recently introduced a new OB Hospitalist program supporting residency and triage processes
