Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nursing position located in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan. This role involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of compassionate, high-quality patient care within the labor and delivery unit. The successful candidate will utilize the nursing process—including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education for patients and their families. Effective communication of pertinent patient information to the healthcare team is essential. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: West Bloomfield Township, MI
- Unit: Labor and Delivery
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Start date: 07/14/2026
- Required Qualifications: Must have BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, with post-partum experience required. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is mandatory, along with current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Additional Information: The candidate must have the clinical knowledge and analytical skills necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the labor and delivery unit. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services and effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel is essential.
