Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Nursing (Labor and Delivery Department) — Socorro, New Mexico. The healthcare provider will assess and triage obstetric patients, support labor and delivery care, and provide postpartum and newborn care, including stabilization and preparation for delivery needs. The role also includes fetal evaluation, medication administration, and assistance with newborn procedures and screening. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: State of New Mexico or Compact State nursing license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certifications; Basic Life Support (BLS) completed through American Heart Association (AHA), American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross; education requirement includes either an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); two (2) years current experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic (can be trained on-site).
- Additional Information: 1:1 Labor and 1:2 Postpartum. Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.
