Job Summary:
The Sioux City, Iowa, Labor and Delivery Nurse role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity within the labor and delivery department. Candidates are required to bring their Iowa nursing license on the first day. The position involves providing comprehensive care for obstetric patients, with emphasis on high acuity and high volume delivery experience, and may include floating to post-partum units as needed.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with 1-2 shifts per week scheduled.
- Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of current Labor and Delivery (LD) experience; circulating and scrub experience; EPIC STORK electronic medical record experience; active Iowa license; BLS (AHA or ARC); ACLS (AHA or ARC); fetal monitoring certification from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience within the previous year at a high-volume delivery center (200-300 deliveries per month); high acuity experience; multiple prior travel contracts; EPIC STORK experience.
- Additional Information: Must have worked at a larger high volume delivery center within the past year. Flexibility to float to post-partum may be required 1-2 shifts a week.
- Submission Requirements: Resume with at least 24 months of current Labor and Delivery experience; skills checklist specific to Labor and Delivery; Nursys verification of active Iowa license; professional references from supervisors or managers within the past 24 months; valid driver’s license.
