Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is needed in Roseburg, Oregon. The position involves working in a dedicated L&D/Perinatal/Postpartum unit, providing obstetric and neonatal care. Candidates must bring their nursing license on the first day. This role requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Job Details:
- Location: Roseburg, Oregon
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, four days per week, with every other weekend or one weekend per seniority, and two 12-hour call shifts every four weeks
- Required Qualifications: Active Oregon nursing license (or pending emergency license with approval upon offer), certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and stability to meet minimum experience of 2 years
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience circulating and/or scrubbing in the operating room for cesarean sections, titrating drips such as Pitocin, Lactated Ringers (LR), Fentanyl, Labetalol
- Responsibilities: Providing obstetric care, managing obstetrical emergencies such as hypertension and hemorrhage, supporting the charge nurse and house supervisor, participating in unit-specific orientation, utilizing telemetry systems, and working in a closed-unit environment unless emergency measures are in place
- Special Equipment & Resources: Two vents, two Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machines; telemetry reading by Registered Nurses in OB; GE Centricity Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) system; scrubs provided in purple
- Float: Closed unit, unless emergency measures are taken
