Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Department (L&D) RN role is based in Portland, Oregon. This position requires a registered nurse with experience in obstetric care and emergency management. The RN is responsible for providing clinical support related to maternity and gynecological care, including triaging obstetric emergencies, responding to patient inquiries via electronic medical records system, and performing routine clinic duties. Candidates must bring their Oregon nursing license on the first day. The assignment is scheduled to commence on 07/20/2026, with a 13-week duration, and candidates are expected to work 8-hour days.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Oregon RN license (or pending license application with approval), 2 years of obstetric or gynecological nursing experience preferred, BLS certification, Epic electronic medical record system experience, and familiarity with obstetric emergencies such as placenta previa, ectopic pregnancy, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and placental abruption/previa.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (External Fetal Heart Monitoring, EFM).
  • Additional Information: The RN will be expected to have knowledge of trauma-level obstetric emergencies, perform assessments including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and pelvic exams, and support patients through high-risk pregnancies and labor processes. The role involves responding to telephone triage, performing patient education, and managing clinical procedures within the clinic. Candidates must be available to work holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day) and include all requested time off at the time of submittal.
  • Certifications: BLS required, Oregon RN license within 2 weeks, pending licenses accepted if applied for prior to start.
  • Experience: 2 years preferred, with specific experience in obstetric emergencies and EPIC system proficiency.
  • Additional Requirements: Candidates must include three available interview times upon submission. RTO requests should be included at the time of submittal and are limited to six days total or three consecutive days; requests exceeding this may delay the offer process.
