Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Department position is located in Oregon City, Oregon. This role involves providing specialized obstetric and maternal care within a Level II maternity unit with a Level I nursery. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position involves night shifts, with a schedule of 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week. The qualified professional will work in a dynamic environment that requires extensive clinical expertise in obstetrics, postpartum, and neonatal care.
Job Details:
- Location: Oregon City, Oregon
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid license, 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, BLS certification, NRP certification, STABLE certification, AWHONN Advanced certification, experience with Epic charting system, and community hospital experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience.
- Certifications: AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP, STABLE.
- Clinical Skills & Responsibilities: Administration of blood and blood products, adult cardiac arrest management, high-risk delivery assistance, sterile speculum examination, vaginal delivery, postpartum care, neonatal resuscitation, use of external and internal fetal monitors, VBAC management, postpartum hemorrhage management, labor triage, and other obstetric procedures.
- Additional Considerations: Candidates must be willing to float between nearby sister facilities if needed. Must have a vehicle for this assignment. No call requirement noted. The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetric settings and Epic charting experience.
