Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Department Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care in a birthing center setting. The position involves working nights with a schedule that includes rotating weekends and mandatory holiday work, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day. This assignment is ideal for an experienced RN with a background in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care, seeking a 16-26 week assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Night shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with an assignment duration from 10/26/2026 to 02/14/2027.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Required Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with experience in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required.
- Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable.
- Prior travel experience is preferred.
- Additional Information:
- Floating required between medical-surgical and emergency department units.
- Work schedule includes working two out of four holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day).
- No block schedules; orientation sessions occur bi-weekly on Mondays.
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
- Complete work history information (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) is mandatory for submission.
- Reliable transportation is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area. Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November to April.
