Job Summary:
This position is for an RN (Registered Nurse) specializing in the Labor and Delivery (L&D) department at a healthcare facility in Middlebury, Vermont. The role involves providing patient care in the birthing center, including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The assignment is for 13-16 weeks with a schedule primarily consisting of night shifts, and may include variable hours and days to meet the operational needs of the unit.

Job Details:

  • Location: Middlebury, Vermont
  • Position: RN for Birthing Center in Labor and Delivery Department
  • Shift Time: Night shifts, mostly 2-12s and 2-8s per week on average, with potential variations including 1-12 and 3-8s during some weeks.
  • Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, scheduled Monday to Sunday, with a minimum of every other weekend and/or schedule adjustments to meet patient care needs.
  • Required Qualifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience from within the past 2 years, 1 year of labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care experience, current RN licensure, and at least 0 years of relevant experience.
  • Additional Qualifications: Floating between medical-surgical and Emergency Department units is required. Prior travel experience is preferred.
  • Responsibilities include providing care for patients in the birthing department, ensuring all work history (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) is complete, and explaining employment gaps over 90 days if applicable.
