Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery Department, Lower Keys: This travel assignment provides obstetrical nursing care across the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases. The Registered Nurse supports safe delivery of care, applies clinical judgment, and may float to other units based on facility needs.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of prior travel nursing experience; experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby care; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 30 days of the start date if not already obtained; AHCA requirement for Florida placements.
- Preferred Qualifications: Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification or completion onsite.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Provides shift accountability for assigned obstetrical patients.
- Uses the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care.
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegates patient care priorities according to the education and experience of available staff.
- Provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel.
- The assignment is scheduled for 13 weeks, beginning 11/09/2026.
