Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is needed in Irving, Texas. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights (7:00 AM start time), 12-hour shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license only — temporary licenses are not accepted; 2+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery; certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Labor and Delivery Nursing (RNC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Perinatal Fetal Monitoring (PFM); Meditech electronic medical record experience preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as those from the American Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) are advantageous
- Additional Information: The unit has 12 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1; staffing includes one unit technician and one secretary per shift; documentation is completed in Meditech; floating policy is as needed; attire includes facility-provided scrubs; strict policies are in place for nail hygiene, hair, tattoos, and piercings. The position requires attendance consistency and adherence to floating guidelines.
