Job Summary:
A Labor & Delivery Nurse is needed at a healthcare facility located in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position involves providing specialized pregnancy and childbirth care in a Level IV maternity unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Position: Labor & Delivery Nurse

- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend. Includes holiday rotation. Able to orient to two shifts. Blocked scheduling available.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; experience in labor and delivery; familiarity with Magnesium and insulin drips; Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; advanced external fetal monitoring skills; able to adhere to AWHONN guidelines; commitment to consistent attendance with no tolerance for calling in.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a high-risk labor and delivery unit preferred.
- Additional Information: Unit staffed with 1:1 in active labor and two patients in early, latent labor; charge nurse in both L&D and the high-risk unit; baby nurse for deliveries.
