Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurses are needed in a community hospital setting. This position involves working rotating shifts, primarily during night hours, with schedule flexibility to include swinging to daytime shifts as needed. The role requires providing maternity, postpartum, and pediatric nursing care, with responsibilities spanning Level 2 maternity and nursery units, including cesarean sections and neonatal care. The assignment begins on 10/20/2026 and concludes on 01/16/2027, with a minimum of 36 hours per week and a rotation that includes every other weekend.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating D/N shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid NH or compact state RN license, BLS from the American Heart Association, ACLS from the American Heart Association, NRP certification, Epic electronic medical record experience, experience with labor and delivery, postpartum, and pediatrics, circulation skills required, scrub skills optional but a bonus, must have worked in a 100-bed facility. Candidates must have 6+ months since last BILH employment, no locals accepted.
- Preferred Qualifications: C-EFM certification, experience with Omnicell medication system, neonatal and maternal bedside ultrasound, unit-specific protocols including epidural catheter removal, phlebotomy, and use of Phillips fetal monitoring devices, IV pumps, ICU medical Plum 360, epidural, PCA, glucometer.
- Additional Information: The unit is a 19-bed Level 2 Maternity and Mother-Baby unit with a Level 1 nursery, handling approximately 600 deliveries annually. Staffing is aligned with AWHONN guidelines, with a core team of 6 nurses on days and 5 on nights. The facility delivers babies from 35 weeks gestation and performs cesarean sections in the unit.
