Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Women’s Services at a facility located in Elko, Nevada. This role involves providing care in a level 1 labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery unit, supporting adult and newborn patient populations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
  • Required Qualifications: Associates or bachelor’s degree in nursing, valid BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications; minimum of 2+ years of experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, or nursery; experience with Cesarean sections, OB triage, fetal monitoring, hemorrhage management, and pre-eclampsia/eclampsia management.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledgeable, flexible, team player, and hardworking personality fit.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required depending on patient census and department needs.
  • Additional Information:
    • The unit includes 15 beds (6 labor & delivery, 9 postpartum) and a level 1 nursery.
    • Equipment includes Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter Pumps, Masimo Monitors, GE Centricity Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring.
    • EMR systems used are Centricity and MEDHOST.
    • No call requirements.
    • The candidate must have experience with care of newborns, management of hemorrhages, fetal monitoring, and obstetric procedures, including management of pre-eclampsia/eclampsia/hypertensive crisis patients.
    • Knowledge of AWHONN standards for patient ratios is required.
