Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department in Denver, Colorado, is responsible for performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, providing health education and counseling, executing delegated medical functions, and documenting care in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Job Details:
- Location: Denver, Colorado
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: ASN (Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing); current license as a Registered Nurse in Colorado; BLS (American Heart Association); ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree of Nursing; previous experience as a Registered Nurse; certification as appropriate for the unit or service.
- Additional Information: The role may require floating to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs. Candidates must be prepared to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
