Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in a facility located in Bel Air, Maryland. This role involves providing specialized care within a Labor and Delivery Department (LDRP unit with a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). The ideal candidate will have experience supporting obstetric and neonatal patient populations, including high-risk pregnancies, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and neonatal resuscitation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Position: Labor and Delivery RN (Family Birthplace)
  • Location: Bel Air, Maryland
  • Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (1900-0730), with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active RN license in Maryland or eligible for a Compact License, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetric and neonatal care. Certifications required include BLS, NRP, ACLS, STABLE, and AWHONN (Intermediate/Advanced).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic EMR system, high-risk delivery support, and community hospital experience.
  • Patient Care: Care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients; supporting high-risk pregnancies, neonatal resuscitation, infant identification, and breastfeeding support.
  • Unit Details: The unit comprises 14 Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDRP) beds, 9 overflow beds, 2 triage beds, and a Level II NICU with 9 beds. It includes specialized procedures such as sterile speculum exams, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care.
  • Float & Coverage: Floating within scope may be required; no on-call duties.
  • Additional Information: Must be comfortable working with a patient census averaging 105 deliveries per month; schedule & restrictions are as per facility policies.
