Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in Austin, Texas. This contract role involves working in a busy Labor and Delivery unit, providing specialized maternal healthcare services. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. This position offers day and night shift opportunities with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:

- Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), SVE competency, C-Section circulation; 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery; candidates must have Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) certification; the candidate must possess current licensure and certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Internal monitor placement competency, previous employment with a healthcare provider, experience in a Level IV high-volume unit.
- Additional Information: Permanent positions on the unit are available. The staff is composed of skilled team members using advanced equipment such as Novii, JADA, fetal pillows, intrauterine pressure catheters, fetal scalp electrodes, tocotransducers, and ultrasound. The unit values team players with positive attitudes and solid experience in obstetric procedures including spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cerclages, C-Sections, and TOLAC.
