Job Summary: IV Vascular Access Registered Nurse (IV VAS) — Salem, Massachusetts.
The healthcare provider is seeking an IV Therapy Registered Nurse to support venous access services. Responsibilities include performing and maintaining core IV Therapy competencies such as peripheral IV insertion, PICC line care and repositioning, ultrasound-guided IV placement, CVAD dressing changes, and port access/de-access. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating day shifts; 12 hours per shift; minimum 36.0 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA); Minimum 2 years of experience working in IV/Venous Access team; IV insertion; Ultrasound Guided IVs; PICC line insertion; BSN (preferred).
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN.
- Additional Information: The patient population includes all ages: neonatal, infant, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Core department competencies include Peripheral IV insertion; CVAD dressing change; Non-tunneled CVAD removal; Reconstitution, instillation and removal of thrombolytic; Access/ de-access of implanted ports; Repositioning of a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC); and Ultrasound Guided IV lines. Charting is performed in EPIC. Start date: 07/19/2026.
