Job Summary:
The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) registered nurse position is based in Utica, New York. This role involves providing specialized care to adult patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory diagnoses, including conditions such as COPD, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, myocardial infarction, cardiovascular step-down, and post-operative patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

- Schedule: 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)
- Required Qualifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license and all other RN licenses; minimum of 2+ years of experience in Intermediate Care Unit or Progressive Care Unit; experience with electronic medical records (EMR) system EPIC; documentation of travel experience; valid driver's license matching demographic address; and a Skills Checklist matching the specialty.

- Additional Information: Ability to work in units with specialty equipment such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, Bipap machines, Neptune Vapo Vents; chronic vents unable to be weaned with respiratory therapy assistance; age range of patients is 18 years and older; responsibilities include managing patients with common diagnoses like neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions.
