Job Summary:
A qualified Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care is sought for a position in York, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing specialized critical care in an Open Heart Intensive Care Unit (OHICU), caring for critically ill or postoperative cardiothoracic and cardiovascular patients. Candidates must bring their valid nursing license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: York, Pennsylvania
- Position: Registered Nurse - Open Heart Intensive Care Unit (OHICU)
- Shift: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Likely rotating with other team members, scheduled to work every other weekend, with potential float to other ICU and medical-surgical floors if needed
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license in Pennsylvania, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications, Epic charting system experience, minimum of 2 years ICU experience, ability to pass EKG examination within 72 hours of signing contract
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, Trauma Level I or II experience, bedside procedures skills including arterial line management, ECMO care, vent management, and use of specialized cardiac equipment
- Additional Information: Candidate must be comfortable providing care for COVID-19 patients; this is a tobacco and fragrance-free facility. RTO (Request for Time Off) must be minimized to 7 days maximum per contract. Local candidates will be offered a lower hourly rate. No license hits are accepted, and the local radius restriction is 50 miles.
