Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is needed for a travel assignment in Wichita, Kansas. The position involves providing critical care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at a busy healthcare facility. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, NIH (National Institutes of Health) certification, Kansas nursing license, and at least 1 year of recent acute care ICU RN hospital experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with Meditech electronic medical records, familiarity with CPN (Certified Pediatric Nurse) certification, prior experience with Sono, IV, and CRRT procedures, and experience working in large trauma facilities
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and airway management. The unit has 26 beds, employs 65 staff members, and uses CRRT equipment. Typical procedures performed include patient sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and airway management.
- Float: Float rotation may be required, depending on staffing needs.
