Job Summary:
The traveler Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) position is located in West Burlington, Iowa. This role involves delivering high-quality care to adult cardiac, telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring patient populations within an ICU-CCU unit. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. - Certified as: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience within the last 12 months in a similar unit; Candidates must have zero years of experience listed; Must be licensed to practice nursing in the state of Iowa; No specific educational degree requirement specified; Required to work 36 hours weekly with potential overtime.
- Schedule: Estimated 36 hours per week with possibility of overtime. Every other weekend and holiday rotations required.
- Additional Information: Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment, which must be passed to work in ICU-CCU units. While not part of regular call rotation, occasional on-call duties may occur during low census periods, with response expected within one hour.
