Job Summary:
This is a travel Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Thornton, Colorado. The facility is seeking qualified candidates to provide critical care for adult patients in a fast-paced environment. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Thornton, Colorado
- Shift: Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM), 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a current acute care hospital ICU experience of at least 1 year, along with Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications. Meditech experience and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification are preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic medical records, TNCC certification, and familiarity with advanced ICU procedures are advantageous.
- Additional Information: The ICU staff includes a variety of experienced nurses, some with over 20 years of tenure. The unit recently expanded with a new 12-bed ICU, increasing capacity to 28 beds. The facility is preparing for a level II trauma survey this year. The intensivists are available 24/7, highly skilled, patient, and eager to teach. The ICU team is welcoming and appreciative of travel nurses.
